Thrilled to visit @Carleton_U 🇨🇦 this term and to collaborate with @WaltersWHCh. Meeting with his #governmentality research group @cu_polisci has triggered new research questions and ideas, plus I had the opportunity to present @KnetsT. Loving it here in Ottawa! 🍁
Team KNETS researcher @jarmokallunki spend the spring term in @ieulisboa collaborating with assistant professor @SofiaViseu on social network analysis. This collaboration was very fruitful and lead them to work together on a article #KNETS#EduKnow
Researcher @PaulaSilven: My job involves for example collecting, coding and analysing the network data. My favorite part is diving into the data and trying to connect the puzzle pieces. I also really enjoy presenting our work at conferences! #EduKnow#knets
I’m Joni and I work as a doctoral researcher in KNETS. I’m involved with data collection, analysis and theoretical work. My main interest in our project is to examine how power, knowledge and policy interact #knets#EduKnow
Team KNETS researchers Joni Forsell @PaulaSilven presented the preliminary results from the Finnish-EU network analysis and how the network has been described in the interviews @sosiologipaivat. We were very pleased to get insightfull and helpful comments from other participants!

@polnet_uio In the first presentation @jaakkokauko discussed on the theoretical approaches on the concept of knowledge in education policy research based on the ongoing literary review by @KnetsT
Researcher @jarmokallunki: My work consists of basic research tasks, that is data collection and analysis. The data collection has taken a great deal of our time and I am looking forward to the analysis phase of the research! #knets#EduKnow
Our postdoctoral researcher @KatriEeva: I am involved in the whole research process, from working on the theoretical framing to collecting and analysing data. I think that my favourite part of research process is gathering data and examining the research materials #knets
Arvioitsin säätiöyliopistopolitiikkaa esityksessäni. Onko ajatuksia seuraavista?
- Poliittisia tavoitteita ei pääosin saavutettu
- Syvensi yliopistolaisten ja johdon kuilua (managerialismi)
- Säätiöpääoma potentiaalinen pitkällä aikajänteellä.

What is KNETS?
We analyse knowledge networks in higher education.
We use the term ‘knowledge network’ to capture the processes and relationships in groups of policy actors created through networking, in which cross-sector, formal, and informal links are formed.
