I'm the proud parent of a transgender woman ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ

It took less than 24 hours of being in Eastern Idaho for me to double down on my mission of destroying the LDS church (I've deconverted dozens already). These mother fuckers take the cake when it comes to the depth they can ram their head up their asses.
I was just standing at a bus stop minding my own disabled business.
And a woman stopped to expressly tell me that my feeding tube is unpleasant.
But you know what's truly unpleasant?
Slowly dying of starvation.
I'm going to be cremated while Bruce Springsteen's I'm on fire plays on repeat. ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ (and now you know from whence my Twitter handle originated)
It's a beautiful thing when your 90-year-old patient with #orthostatic hypotension tells you that she went on gluten-free diet 3 months ago and is feeling better. No doubt that prospective clinical trials are needed to give us that data that we all want, but patients don't have decades to wait for that so my small unfunded study would do for now. ๐คฃ

Chipsealing season in Ada county means inattentive/incompetent drivers are more annoying because without painted lines to remind them of lanes they are ALL OVER THE PLACE. #DrivingInTheTurningLane#WhatBikeLane
The regret rate of gender-affirming surgery is 0.3%.
The regret rate for knee replacement surgery is 6-30%.
"Transition regret" is a false narrative being pushed by the media to prevent people from getting access to life-saving, gender-affirming healthcare.
However...
Let's address that 0.3%.
Many outside factors contribute to a trans person's regret:
๐Unsupportive families.
๐Transphobic environments.
๐Normal post-op distress.
Just because that 0.3% of people regret their surgery doesn't mean they're not transgender.
The fear of regret shouldn't stop thousands of trans people from getting access to the healthcare they deserve.
Regret rates exist - but not for the reasons the media are trying to push.
@copbeast35 I can tell you're an ignorant motherfucker, so let me spell it out for you IDAHO HAS NO GUN LAWS. MOST PEOPLE CARRY GUNS. HAVING A GUN ON YOU IS NOT A REASON TO GET SHOT. THE PROBLEM IS COPS HAVE SUCH THIN BLUE SKIN THAT THEY MURDER PEOPLE RUNNING FROM THEM AND THE CROWD.
I don't feel safe in #Boise. It isn't criminals or even the ignorant rednecks who scare me, it is the POLICE. The recent assassination of Payton Wasson has upset me more than usual. He was SHOT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. Protect and serve, my ass. #NoJusticeNoPeace
@Sisyphus43 Not good! Going to add the pipe insulation/paint roller to my anti-goat head arsenal. Foam garden kneeling pads (found at the dollar store) also do a great job of picking up those nasty thorns.
I'm going to attempt to socialize IRL today (outdoors) with some nice people and I really hope I don't fvck it up. I was awkward pre-pandemonium and am out of practice. The hardest thing for me is keeping my ADHD in check. Probably time to revisit non-stimulant meds ๐ซ
