When you provide liquidity to a trading pair, you're choosing between active and passive strategies. Passive LPs set their position and let it sit, collecting fees automatically while prices move, though they face impermanent loss if the market swings hard in one direction. Active LPs constantly rebalance their positions, adjusting price ranges and ratios to stay in profitable trading zones and minimize losses, but this requires monitoring, timing, and paying gas fees repeatedly. Passive strategies suit people who believe in long-term price stability or want set-and-forget exposure, while active strategies reward those with time, market intuition, and the capital to absorb rebalancing costs. Neither approach is objectively better, since it depends on market volatility, your capital size, and how much you're willing to hustle. Even the toughest rooster knows when to sit tight and when to keep moving. Choose based on your actual availability and risk tolerance, not FOMO.
