@OP_senju Theory: I think it's because Aang got directly hit by an unexpected surprise attack where as Zuko saw, expected, and was mid-redirection but the redirection was incomplete, so strike had MUCH less energy when struck, causing less damage, allowing the wound to eventually heal.

Jax Gender: Anything BUT Cis is fine, just be respectful in how it's presented

i.e. NB He/It? Ok. Demigirl She/They? Cool. Cis He/Him? Jail. Trans She/Her? PERFECTION.
