Smart phones and social media ruined a generation. There's a whole cohort of students who have grown accustomed to instant gratification. At the same time their educational and social skills as well as mental health plummetted. We can see this across the political spectrum

I think one of the problems with US education is we put too much focus on core classes at the expense of the arts and sports. Now we have a people that are more intelligent but lack wisdom. There is a reason they are different stats in Dungeons and Dragons.

The saddest part about the history of this platform is it used to be a great place to get good info about unfolding events, better than other media sometimes. Now it is basically the worst place to go to get accurate info. Nothing but spin and opinions about people's opinions.

MAGA influencers trying to blame everyone for Kirks assassination with no evidence and try to use it as a call for more violence is quite telling. They hate a lot of people and are always looking for reasons to voice it or act on it. Changed their tune once the shooter was ID'd

The saddest part of this recent AI adoption is how fast people are willing to trust a computer with everything except science. We have increased compute power over the years and people are unwilling to trust the advanced climate models the whole world's scientists use

You don't have to pick a side and defend them no matter what. Individual acts matter. We are not rooting for teams we are living in a democracy and you can have complex opinions. Should police be de-escalating more, yes. Should protesters stop burning cars, yea. Nuance #LA

Is there reason to be concerned what you put in your body, sure. Do gov scientists need to do a better job of gaining trust from the public, yes. But what they are doing now is exactly what they accuse gov of doing in the past, making policy without evidence that will hurt us 2/2

Our country seems to be run by the least capable people who have no discipline, no impulse control and no dedication to any single ideology other than what trump says on any given day. You cannot run a country on trolling and memes and we all get to feel the consequences. Awesome
