@thetokist I'm not blaming Mexico, I'm blaming culture(s) for this, rather than guns. People pull the trigger, guns don't fire on their own. Gun laws aren't going to change the criminal culture that exists in certain groups in America.

@thetokist Australia isn't really a great analogy, because they don't have a 3rd world country on their southern border that exports violent criminals to them. Mexico has stricter gun laws than the US and 3x the number of murders, per capita. Maybe it's more of a cultural problem...

@thetokist And as I've said multiple times, all that is going to do is remove guns from law abiding citizens, while the criminals, who are used to evading the law, will not be effected. So the bad guys will still have guns, you'll only remove the good guys' ability to defend themselves.

@thetokist And how are you going to remove guns, exactly? Who will go around to all the criminals that have them and take them from them? Because the criminals aren't going to turn them in willingly. They don't care about laws, that's what makes them criminals.
