Omigosh - Knit Pickers PEI has been nominated for the "Love Local PEI" contest - what an honour! I'm hoping that you'll send a vote (or 2 or 5) my way!!! You don't need to live on the Island & you can vote multiple times (hint hint - every day). Contest closes on March 18th.
Hurricane Teddy was massive - twice the size of Katrina - but it was so kind! Still I'm glad to say farewell to Teddy. Thanks for all of your thoughts as we prepped for Teddy's arrival. At the studio, life is back to normal except for our roadside signage. Hope to see you soon!
With Teddy arriving tomorrow, bringing with him high, high winds and loads of rain, we will be closed on Tues and Wed - our "Ewe Love to Knit" night is also cancelled! Our online store remains open although porch pick-up options would be delayed until Thursday.

It's "Ewe Love to Knit" night tonight! There's a good breeze today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll update this post at about 3:30 p.m. to confirm that it's a go or to suggest that it might just be a better night to take your knitting to the beach.....
I have a personal appointment tomorrow. I have no idea how long it might take so the studio will be closed Wednesday, August 12th. We'll be back bright and shiny on Thursday, August 13th!

I planned to post this blog yesterday (link in comments) - seemed right to be able to honour Juneteenth. But internet went down Island-wide just as I was ready to share it! Some of my thoughts and life experiences and lessons with respect to Black and Indigenous Lives Matter.

No doubt you've heard stories about how cows and sheep are contributing to climate change due to the methane gas they "expel". Guess what? Scientists have discovered that this is not true. In fact, they may be part of the global warming solution! Photo courtesy of @blomidonfarm
