The minimum wage is supposed to be the lowest amount you can live on while still affording housing. So for everyone saying “it’s not meant to be a living wage,” yes, it is. That’s literally why it’s called the MINIMUM WAGE.

For those who don't know:

The AVERAGE cost of a nursing home in America has now hit $10,000 per MONTH.

Medicare doesn't pay and unless you're destitute and have not spent a dime over "basic expenses" for the past 5 years, you won't get Medicaid.

This is a crisis.
