Fencing work has now been completed so the walk is open once again. Also a friendly reminder to please take away your dog's poo. We certainly don't want it

The Capel Way Walk will be closed from the slip in Knockadoon to the Signal Tower from Monday 23rd May at 6am to Friday 27th May at 6pm. This is to facilitate fencing work to be done.

Just a reminder for everyone visiting the walk this weekend that social distancing still applies and if the car park is full please move on and don't park where your vehicle may be an obstruction.

@Fiona_Forde_Irl Yeah, it's about 9km away. It's a common mistake and often confused with the Coastguard station in Ring which is on the Knockadoon Peninsula. Sadly there is just an empty field there now in Warren which is a shame.

We will have signs and cones out this weekend and Gardai will be monitoring. We do not want to close the walk again but we will if we have to.

Due to social distancing and health & safety concerns we are asking that those visiting the walk adhere to the following request. If the car park in Knockadoon is full then there is enough people on the walk. Please move on. Do not park anywhere that causes an obstruction.
