First year biglaw “attorneys” (most of them aren’t even admitted yet) have higher salaries than people who’ve been public defenders for literally 40 years.
for no particular reason, but also because I'm thinking about it, here's the biglaw salary scale for last year. cool way to make half a million dollars a year.
A brief conversation about the history of enslavement and the law with an emphasis on property and abolitionism. A special tribute to Professor James B. Stewart also is included.

Paul Finkelman, ed: Defending Slavery
An excellent and useful representative collection though I feel like CS Lewis writing the Screwtape Letters reading the reprehensible thought of the pro-slavery ideology of the Positive Good school.

The Trump administration's historical arguments for his birthright citizenship executive order couldn't be more egregiously wrong. https://t.co/TZ8FS3emH3
