@AliciaAdamczyk Let’s say my friends and I go on vacation and I pay for the vacation and my friends all pay me back via Venmo or any other P2P and the value of those reimbursements is like $10k. You bet your ass IRS will be looking for a schedule C to report that as income.
@AliciaAdamczyk How much did Venmo pay CNBC to write this? If you receive $600 or more on any P2P payment system you will receive a 1099k to write this point blank. While there is no direct matching of 1099k to tax returns this very well could pose a problem.
