AI can't check the AI code it created.
AI writes more of your code every month.
Asking the same AI to grade its own work is not governance.

This past week, The Code Registry hosted our first of our monthly CIO Lyceum series to help #CIO’s think about how they can gain visibility, intelligence, and governance in the age of #AI. It was born from our Chairman Mike Carter experience early in his career at the IT services leader Cambridge Technology Partners and their CIO Lyceum mastermind events.
It was an intimate gathering of some of the leading minds in the market. All are wrestling with the simple fact that while AI is generating significant productivity advancements in coding, the risks and complexity that they now have to contend with around security and governance is amplifying.

We were born for this challenge at The Code Registry to help CIO’s who have helped support with systems and applications every department in their enterprises but have never had a control center or application for themselves until now.
Special thanks to our friend David Silverstein, sales leader from ePlus inc., for making this first event come to fruition and to the great Mission Capitalist Club for allowing us to host it at this legendary and important venue.

Technical risk is rarely just broken syntax. It is when 70 percent of your core architecture was written by a single engineer who left six months ago without documentation. Spotting knowledge silos early is how you keep your product alive.

Most executive boards receive code status updates translated through three layers of management optimism. Code transparency turns repository activity into clear financial risk indicators and milestone roadmaps anyone can understand.

One non-technical founder used our code reports to identify 14 redundant developer vendor contracts, saving 220k dollars before their Series A round even closed.
#StartupGrowth
Over 60 percent of software vulnerabilities enter through outdated third-party packages left unmaintained for years. Risk mitigation is not about rewriting everything; it is about knowing exactly which 3 files will sink your compliance audit.

Your engineers say the architecture is clean. Your product team says releases take twice as long as last quarter. Objective code metrics reveal who is actually right.
#EngineeringManagement
A private equity firm almost wrote off an enterprise target over alleged legacy sprawl. Our diagnostic proved 82 percent of the core engine was modern, modular, and cloud-ready. The deal went through at full valuation within 3 weeks.

An unmonitored open-source library tucked 4 layers deep into your repository is often where production outages start. Map your dependencies before your customers find them.

LLM-generated audits hallucinate context and miss structural rot. Deterministic code intelligence maps exact dependency trees, test coverage realities, and true licensing risks without guessing. Real diligence requires mathematical proof, not generative…
How much technical debt are you buying in your next acquisition? Asking the engineering team is not enough. You need objective data before closing the deal.
