🦥Calling students/grads studying animals! 🦥As part of our efforts to reach out to students with an interest in #HumanAnimalStudies, @asi_org has created Sloth: A Journal of Emerging Voices in Human Animal Studies -- a journal for undergraduate students and recent graduates.🧵
@asi_org 🧵The mission of #Sloth is to publish scholarly studies, book and film reviews, or artistic products that increase our understanding of or raise awareness of issues involving human/non-human animal relationships.

This is why organizations like @internetarchive are absolutely vital. (While we're at it, here's the open letter regarding Hachette v. Internet Archive: https://t.co/4WQV8eXAfF)
Thank you to #librarians, #archivists, and #digitalcurators everywhere.
Today, from my office in England, I'm finally reading one of Ernest Thompson Seton's journals held in the @AMNH. After writing about him for so many years, I'm now able to see his original notes and illustrations on the wild animals he encountered. 🧵
without the use of #openaccess online archives. My deepest and sincerest heartfelt thanks go to every single person who has gone through the no doubt arduous task of scanning and archiving thousands of old books and documents. 🧵
