Self-employed librarian working at the intersections of arts/humanities and medicine. Tweet mostly about #medhum & library topics. Smith College alum. She/her.
I've decided that I can no longer take part in Twitter given the hatred & misinformation championed by its owner. Will miss connecting here with #SLAers, #medhum folks, & #HMImuseum Fellows. Let's connect here instead: https://t.co/qLSsbCbcMQ Will deactivate this account soon.
Arts and humanities folks at #AAMC22: come to the Friends of FRAHME knowledge sharing session at 4:30 in the Omni Hotel, Legends AB! Will be there with @LisaDHowley, @LizGaufberg and @Virginia_E_Bush; we’d love to see you! #medhum
Gorgeous exhibit on Asian textiles at the @fristartmuseum! Couple blocks from MCC, $15 to get in. These textiles will go back in storage for 20yrs after this in order to ensure they don’t get too damaged by light. Glad they are being preserved in this way. #aamc22
Dr. Joe Greer, Founding Dean of @RosemanMedicine & Gold Trustee, notes that in an effort to create humanistic physicians, his school has deliberately included many narrative & reflective courses:
“If you can’t tell a story, you can’t make a change."

Attending #AAMC22 in Nashville. Have had some really interesting discussions about race today. I’m noticing that compared to conferences a few years ago, seems like people are more willing to discuss tough issues & now have vocabulary with which to have more nuanced conversations
The first work of art the #HMImuseum Fellows are exploring is #valkryeimumbet at @maamboston by Vasconselos. This artwork can be a catalyst for conversation and inquiry around slavery in Massachusetts, the role of law in social change & the history of textiles.
A beautiful #HMImuseum welcome from @LizGaufberg to our 15 Fellows. She quotes Frederick Buechner: A calling is “the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
Rainy start to our morning at #HMImuseum Fellowship! So excited to meet the Fellows I’ve been emailing with for six months! But man, I am so unused to going to in-person professional events, it’s so funny!
Retweeting this in light of our closing keynote from @trlwagner - great opportunity here for SLA members to support genderqueer populations in our host city. #sla2022

Dr Nicole Cooke (@BakerChair) was a stellar keynote. She says she tries to incorporate education about mis-/dis-/mal-information into every course she teaches because it’s all around us. Find her slides at https://t.co/vXzbE1fH7i #sla2022
@mandosally@Amyodo It sounds a little froo-froo but I wonder if there's something about being in the same physical space as the speaker and receiving their energy and the energy of the audience that is more inspiring to the process.
