Thousands of Brits demand public inquiry over horrific Preston Davey tragedy

Preston Davey a 13 month old baby died on July 27th 2023 after being sexually abused physically assaulted and left with 40 injuries by his adoptive parents Jamie Varley and John McGowan Fazakerley in Blackpool.

The couple who presented as a perfect family on social media subjected Preston to a reign of terror over four months including cluster injuries and hospital visits three times in six weeks before he was smothered.

A petition demanding a national inquiry into safeguarding failures has reached 19,525 signatures backed by Prestons birth parents Sarah Davey and Gary Nolan and Blackpool South MP Chris Webb.

The petition states in less than four months little Preston was sexually abused physically assaulted and left with 40 injuries he was taken to hospital three times and social workers visited regularly but nothing stopped it.

Prestons death has been branded a failure of the state by the Childrens Commissioner for England as a child taken into protective custody was placed into the hands of abusers.

An independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review has been launched but MPs and campaigners continue to push for a full public inquiry to answer how the baby in state care was so badly let down.
