I know I’ve been teasing this new album all year long and I can’t wait to tell yall a lot more about it very very soon. Thank y’all for the paitence. I’ve never been more excited about a project or cared more about a batch of songs than what’s fixing to come y’all’s way. And I know I’ve been fairly quiet on all that side of things but that’s about to change. Runnin’ On E and Drive All Night are both two of my favorites and are very much in the same vein that a good part of this album lives in. But this album truly does have a song for everyone and does go all over the place as all my projects always have and I can’t wait to start showing more of that to y’all. Half The Man is one of those. It’s one of the most “country” songs I’ve ever written and I knew that the day I wrote it. I’ve always wanted a song that captures both what a great job my parents did for me and continue to do, and that feeling of never feeling like I’ll be able to fill those shoes. I can’t wait to get this one out to y’all. This album and this song specifically are about the truest to myself I’ve ever felt when it comes to music.
