I'm glad that James Gunn is embracing the comics without being ashamed of where these characters come from. He's adapting the Silver Age aesthetic with all the colors, fantasy, weirdness, and surrealism to bring this DC universe to life as it always should have been.

I always find it interesting that the comics can introduce new timelines, rewrite events or completely change origins stories, but the second a film/tv/video game adaptation does? Twitter collectively loses it.
