We are extremely proud to announce that Louise and Marilyn have made it to the finals of the BAFTA young games designers awards with their game “To Be and Not To Be”. This a huge achievement to finish off their time @knoxacademy and 6 years of running the girls+ computing club!🎉
Happy birthday to Marilyn who helps to run and organise the @knoxacademy girls+ computing club 🎉! Some problem solving was used when it was discovered there weren’t enough candles to represent 18 in the “traditional” way
@dgilmour@mrmcswan@dressCodeHQ This looks awesome @dgilmour ! It’s interesting to see what ones we know and read up on the ones we don’t, we’ll be sure to have a look with the rest of the group!
We are incredibly excited to share that today was our first Girls+ Computing club with a full classroom and over 20 pupils coming along to take part. It’s been awesome to see it grow from being 7 of us just 2 weeks ago! @knoxacademy@mrmcswan@KnoxNCFaculty
@mrmcswan shame you missed your favourite class of advanced highers this week. Luckily we had a good cover teacher, he was a bit quiet though. @KnoxNCFaculty@knoxacademy
Warm welcome to Knox’s first Girls+ Computing Club plumbing team! Remember to come along to round 2 on Thursday at lunchtime in Mr McSwan’s Room. @knoxacademy@KnoxNCFaculty@mrmcswan
Thanks to everyone who came to the first Knox Girls+ Computing Club meeting today, we were thrilled to have such a great turnout and can’t wait to see what exciting things will be created over the coming months!

@relativism Andy McS lead 2 lessons a week for N4/5/Higher/AH, recording them then putting them on YouTube. As the other teacher I joined in helping kids out in real-time. We used Jamboard and each pupil online had a page each, if required, so we could check progress
Thought this would be useful for any of you out there keen on programming. There are some great tutorials, lectures, etc on here, if you fancy learning C#, more HTML, Python, ReasonML, JS, Data Science etc. Worth a look... https://t.co/ddjVMWZRGd @KnoxNCFaculty@knoxacademy
A huge thank you to Louise Allan, S4, for organising, completely off her own back, an Easter Egg Hunt during Girls Computing Club....everyone loved it! @knoxacademy@KnoxNCFaculty
