@const1387 @BabyD1111229 Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor and depending on the surgery, it can seriously slow down recovery and cause all sorts of complications. That said, except for instances like this, I have never seen a study showing nicotine dangerous, and usually tell smokers to switch to lozenges.

@BlastingThrough I see a lot of guys with PTSD, and one of the most important things I have found is to just let them know it doesn't mean they are weak, it's that they are good people who were put in bad situations, and their deeper mind is having trouble reconciling the difference.

@SolBrah Ever tell yourself "don't forget to get milk on the way home", and then you got home and didn't have any milk? The subconscious has trouble with words like "don't" so it drops them... you basically told yourself "forget to get milk on the way home."
