Students in Mrs. Boselli's Spanish 4H classes have been presenting their research on health care coverage in Spanish speaking countries with their peers recently. Presentations are part of our year-long focus on Global Health Equity.

It was empowering to hear the stories of girls from around the world (most younger than us) who were able to make such a significant impact in their communities & beyond. We hope to bring what we learned today back to Ursuline, especially through the Women for Women club!"

Discussions provided girls ages 12-21 living all around the world the chance to explore topics such as menstrual equity, climate change, domestic violence, the impact Covid has had on women, and how participants have been able to impact their communities.

Women for Women club members Hailey Dorsainvil '21 and Kira Schaefer '21 participated in a virtual town hall as part of the United Nations International Day of the Girl on Friday.

The Ursuline Global Scholars Program prepares globally competent, strategic thinkers, who through empathy and collaborative problem-solving skills, strive to understand global issues and drive positive change in the world.

To earn the Global Scholar distinction, these students have also completed 4 years of curricular studies with a global focus, engaged in global co-curricular and cultural activities, completed service hours and also had an international travel or hosting experience.

Today 9 members of the Class of 2020 completed the final requirement of the Ursuline Education Network Global Scholars Program, by participating in a virtual roundtable discussion on their Capstone Research projects with their peers and members of the faculty and administration.

Jane Mosbacher Morris, CEO and Founder of the non-profit organization,@LetsgoTTM , was a Keynote Speaker at Ursuline's 2017 Global Symposium focused on the important global issue of ethical fashion.

Barely 1 month later they had PPE orders for 1.2 million units for the US. They hope to distribute in Kenya, Ghana & India soon.

While the human right to an education can often be taken for granted, through our year long look at education equity for women and girls, we empower our students to advocate for themselves and girls around the world.

AWEF is rooted in the belief that the best way to fight poverty in the developing world is by educating women. The organization supports the educational needs of women in Angola, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
