I’ve been in UENR for almost 3 years and I still don’t have a university email.
I tried signing up on ResearchGate and I couldn’t because it requires an institutional email.
So many platforms offer free services to students, but UENR students can’t access any of it.

Most of the buildings in UENR don’t even have washrooms.
The few that do are locked anyhow.
In SH for example, there are 4 washrooms (2 for males and 2 for females), but only 2 are being used. And even those ones, they lock them whenever they feel like it.

You won’t fully understand how bad things are at UENR until you’re in class and suddenly need to use the washroom.
No water. No tissue. Students are basically expected to carry tissue around campus like it’s part of their academic materials.
Then there’s a power outage during lectures and, just like that, class is over. No reliable backup power. No proper contingency.
In 2026, students should not be struggling with basic things like water, washrooms and electricity at a university. This is not development. UENR needs urgent fixing.

No formal or informal communication has been given to us on why we still don’t have our university emails or how to get them.
This has become the norm. Even my predecessors, not just the immediate ones, completed school without ever receiving theirs.

It true some of the students move chairs to their various hostels but then that's why we have securities on campus so my question is if the securities can not ensure that students do not move chairs to their various hostels then are we even safe on campus

UENR deserves better facilities, better lecture halls, and a better learning environment. Our university deserves infrastructure that matches its potential.
