Sometimes things go viral without much context. I’m the first to say we need more public parks, but have you actually visited the spot in this photo? It’s a few square metres in the middle of a roundabout, with no safe access and surrounded by traffic fumes.

We should identify suitable locations for proper public parks and consider requiring new developments to include publicly accessible green spaces.

We absolutely need more green space, but location, safety and usability matter. And alongside all of this, we also need discipline and respect for public spaces.
