@Tablesalt13 well... yeah. Just like the US lost over 70K manufacturing jobs last year to Canada's 50K manufacturing jobs last year. Trump's tariffs has a huge impact on manufacturing. This isn't new information.
@FoodProfessor There's no tax on food. Rebate will help people get food on the table. Removing tax on chips and candy isn't going to make your regular food bill cheaper.
@Concern70732755 That's pretty inaccurate actually. I grew up during the referendum and I remember alot of outrage during that time from people outside of Quebec. I'm sure you can find tons of articles about it, but you couldn't be bothered. You'd rather make a claim to fit your narrative.
@AlbertaLeonidas bit misleading. You aren't taking into account of OAS. which brings it much closer to US. Also, US will run out by 2030 unless congress raises taxes. by alot. Canada is good for another 75 years. Canada also doesn't pay CPP all year like most Americans. It's just different.
@davidemccune@WhiteHouse Massive reduction in credit access. Return of fees. End of free rewards. Shift to unregulated shadow lending. If you think this is a good idea because you have good credit. Just wait until you see all the new fees added to your statement. Banks will still get their money somehow.
