If ever there was a road project that Kochi & Kerala needed today, it is KOCHI NEW BYPASS.
We urge Kochi's MPs @BennyBehananMP & @HibiEden to take this up with @NHAI_Official

Trivandrum's 63.7km 4-lane ORR project is moving towards construction stage👏. @NHAI_Official had taken this up in 2018.

However Kochi's ~70 km New bypass with ~50km 8 lane (rest 6 lane) is yet to get back into 3A stage itself, despite NHAI starting DPR activities in 2016![1/4]

Despite everyone knowing that Kochi's existing Bypass has been handling way above its capacity & it being 11 damn years since activities had begun for a new bypass, it has still not managed to even re-enter the 3A stage, forget 🏗️ stage!

@itzme3d_1 @KochiCorp Moreover, your stats are wrong too. Bengaluru, Hyderabad have both split their Corporations to individual units for better administration. This is why nobody takes corporation population or stats for judging CITY sizes

Reason : local body limits are politically influenced, and not in resonation with urban expansion.

Example : @KochiCorp hasn't expanded for 59 damn years ! 85% of Kochi UA as per 2011 census is outside

• Only 39.9% of the expenditure is development expenditure, way below national average of 63.5%
• Only 1.34% of the state's GSDP goes into capital expenditure,way below national average of 3.2%

@AbhinandKalang1 @sushilpathiyar പിന്നെ, എയർപോർട്ട് എന്നത് റേഷൻ കട പോലെ എല്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്തിലും വേണ്ട സാധനം അല്ല. ഒരു റൺവെയും ടെർമിനലും തുറന്നിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല, അവിടേക്ക് വിമാന സർവീസ് നടത്താനുള്ള feasibility ഉണ്ടാവണം. ഇപ്പൊൾ തന്നെ കണ്ണൂർ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയാണ്, അപ്പോഴാണ് പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഒരു pax flow demand ഇല്ലാത്ത പാലക്കാട്

@AbhinandKalang1 @sushilpathiyar ഈ കഴിഞ്ഞ കാലത്തിൽ ബെംഗളൂരു, കൊൽക്കത്ത, ഡൽഹി, ചെന്നൈ എയർപോർട്ടുകളിൽ പോലും വെള്ളം കയറിയിട്ടുണ്ട്, ചിലത് അടച്ചിട്ടും ഉണ്ട്. കഴിഞ്ഞ 7 വർഷത്തിൽ ഭീകരമായ മഴ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും കൊച്ചി എയർപോർട്ട് സേഫ് ആണ്. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഇനി അത് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല.
