Think two things can be true:
1. College baseball is definitely far bigger that it was a decade ago
2. It’s still highly regional and mostly contained to the South and West. Akin to college hockey for the Northeast and Midwest.
You see this in college baseball super regional attendance — hosts draw record crowds now. Even in a cluttered media environment this tournament feels bigger than ever.
@TylerDinucci Didn't really excite the grassroots here. A chunk of the evangelical base (ex. Bob VanderPlaats, Steve King) backed Lahn or Steen.
Feenstra also didn't participate in any debates or candidate forums. Big chunks of the GOP were put off by that.
@conorsen@ckk81@arpitrage For sure. Keep an eye on Des Moines, Grand Rapids, Omaha and Madison as well. Sort of occupy the same space in the Midwest as Greenville and NW Arkansas in the South.
@DrewCHallett Thought the lead Michigan ran out to in the MSU game at Breslin was fairly ref dependent. Tight whistle that night clearly helped Michigan in the first half.
