@murphscannon@BeaneaterB I do like varsho and wouldn’t be upset if he ended up on the Braves. But I think it would be a disservice to the way this outfield was built to not go and get a RH bat to slot in for Yaz against lefties and let Dubon play short.
@murphscannon@BeaneaterB I get that, but does having both of them not pose the same issue still? Why not get Ramos who can play the field. Absolutely mashes lefties and still under control for the next couple years I think.
@murphscannon@BeaneaterB I like Varsho but I think you’re gonna see a lot more Yaz after the deadline. Dom will be the first bat to go and they desperately need another righty to slot in. Our splits against lefties has been awful. And I think Yaz will benefit from more playing time and more AB’s
@BeaneaterB I’ve wanted Detmers on this team since last years deadline. Like the Ray and wolfram picks. Not sold on Lowe or springer. Think a guy like Heliot Ramos would be ideal for the RH outfield bat. Maybe you can get both him and Ray in a deal.
@steve8022_smith@badamsufl “Give up on trying to win a game” by using one of the few guys that was available out of the pen. Like cmon, get mad at the bullpen make up all you want but managers can only use the guys they are given.
@BravesColdTakes@badamsufl If putting one of the relievers in our pen into the game is considered “punting” it. Then is this not more a front office problem and not Walt problem? Why have a guy in the pen you can’t use unless you’re up by 6 or down by 6?
The only bad thing about following the Braves farm and listening to @gvedak as much as possible is that I actually care about the prospects we trade away now. Fully expect to see some studs get traded away.
@BeaneaterB@scottcoleman55 The only thing I didn’t love tonight was his AB against Morejon. I think taking 3-0 against a guy you know is going to throw you a fastball and you have yaz on deck against a lefty. Wish he would’ve swung 3-0 .
@AtlbizMark@BeaneaterB I mean you could make the argument that Dubon could start over Kim at short against a righty, atleast until he cools off. I do think Kim is the better shortstop but how do you take Dubon out of the lineup right now??
That was probably the worst Austin Riley at bat I’ve ever seen. Runner on 3rd less than one out and swung at 3 off speed pitches that are impossible to drive into the outfield….
