As we come to the end of the year, we want to take time to reflect on our journey as a business — our achievements, our challenges, and everything in between. This year, our CEO personally paid university fees for four children. This is something we rarely speak about because we are not looking for praise. Our mission is to fight crime and fight poverty. The CEO also made sure that every team member received proper and professional training, fully paid for by the company. This included technical and tactical training from Ipeleng risk management, e-billing, and training from highly skilled former Special Forces and Special Task Force members. Financially, this year was very difficult. At one point, we owed SARS a large amount of money. Despite this, we managed to survive as a company. We had to sell some of our vehicles and stop offering certain services just to stay afloat. Our initial debt to SARS was R2 million. We paid it down, and when the balance was R742,000, we asked the public for donations. We were honest in saying we were not expecting people to raise R700,000 for us, so we mentioned that we owed R100,000. During that time, the CEO decided not to take a salary until the issue was resolved. The debt was not due to refusing to pay SARS, but because of mistakes and a lack of proper financial knowledge. We later got help from an accountant we connected with on Facebook, who assisted us in fixing the issue and paying SARS correctly. Through public donations, we received about R29,000. The rest of the debt was paid fully by the company. Today, everything owed to SARS has been settled, and we are now paying SARS properly every month. It was a painful period. We lost vehicles, reduced services, and faced public criticism. Many people we once helped for free turned against us during our struggle. Despite this, we chose not to fight anyone. We focused on paying SARS and saving the business. The CEO went six months without a salary. Even now, he has only received a salary for two months. He has promised that all employees will be paid first, and only once the company is stable will he fully resume his salary. We also paid for security training for someone we did not know, simply to help him get a better future. He later informed us that he found employment at Fidelity Security Services. We are proud to say that despite many challenges, we survived. The fight is not over, but we will continue. Unfortunately, we can no longer offer free services, as we do not have the financial capacity. However, when we are able to help, we will. This year, we also helped many young boys off the streets by starting a soccer team. We provided them with kits, balls, boots, and even gazebos. In addition, we paid for school shoes for 150 learners and bought sanitary towels worth R40,000 for underprivileged girls. While it may not be much, we know it has made a difference. Lastly, as we move closer to 2026, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. May God keep you safe and protect you. To our colleagues in the police, metro services, private security, soldiers, and all members of the armed forces — the struggle continues. Let’s work.
