My students walked in and immediately started talking about the box. They are so intrigued by it! After working hard for all of state testing, we will open it on Monday and find out what is inside. 😬😮🫢 #motivation@JamesburgPublic@mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73
In ELA, we have been working in the Unit of Eureka! Student Inventors. Today’s lesson was titled “Looking at It from Many Perspectives- Documentation.” My students explored diagrams! ✏️📊 @JamesburgPublic@Readinggirl73@mr_mtozzi
We started together as a whole class by creating and labeling a diagram of a pencil—thinking carefully about each part and its details. Then, students worked independently to draw and label their own diagrams of classroom objects, making sure to include multiple features.
We partnered with our first-grade buddies to celebrate the 67th day of school! Students reimagined the number 67 by creatively disguising it through drawings. It was wonderful to see fourth and first graders learning/creating together! @JamesburgPublic@mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73

Today, we learned a big lesson from a little tube of toothpaste! Our activity showed us that words are like toothpaste -easy to squeeze out, but impossible to put back in.
We talked about how important it is to think before we speak and use our words to be kind and helpful. 💬❤️
My morning message is up and ready to go for students to read before they begin their first day of testing. All students also have a special note from their parents or myself with an encouraging message on their desk to read before testing starts! @mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73
Here’s our motivational posters we made for testing next week! 🤩🌟 We also went around and all had an opportunity to share ways we will rock testing as we passed the light bulb! 💡💛 @mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73
After reading “Mr. Posey’s New Glasses,” we transported with our own adventures! What does it take to see the world with fresh eyes? @mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73@JamesburgPublic
It is always fun to integrate reading into math class, especially when it has to do with fractions AND chocolate!🍫 Great job helping me read the story, superstars! @mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73@JamesburgPublic
When my students tell me they want to read certain books, I go get those books for them!!!! A student came in this morning and said “I see you got new Dog Man books, this is the best day.” I want to foster the love of reading in all of my students!❤️📚 @mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73
My students worked on a Social Studies Project where they had to make an advertisement to convince people to plan a visit to their chosen Region of the United States. Wow, their video ads turned out amazing!!! 🗺️👍🏻😃@mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73@JamesburgPublic
This hands on science activity really exemplified the concept of criteria and constraints! Paper building 10-10-10: build a structure with 10 index cards, 10 cm of tape, and 10 minutes. My superstar 4th graders did a fantastic job! @mr_mtozzi@Readinggirl73@JamesburgPublic
