Pope Leo XIV offers a heartfelt message to the Knights of Columbus gathered for the 143rd Supreme Convention in Washington, D.C.
Speaking during the Jubilee Year of Hope, the Holy Father reflects on the virtue of hope and commends the Knights for their faithful witness through charity, fraternity, and service to those in need.
He honors the legacy of Blessed Michael McGivney and encourages all Knights to be living “Heralds of Hope” in their communities and throughout the world.

In Cedar City, Utah, Knights of Columbus Council 11246 supports St. Martha’s Baby Basket Ministry, founded nearly 30 years ago by a Knight’s wife.
The ministry provides new mothers in need with baskets filled with baby essentials and handmade quilts. Funds raised through the council’s annual Lenten Burrito Program help purchase the materials that make each basket possible.
Through simple acts of charity, these Knights are helping welcome every child with love and dignity.
Despite California’s rich agricultural abundance, the rising cost of living and other economic pressures leave many farmworkers — especially migrant and seasonal laborers — struggling to put food on their own tables. Since 2023, the California State Council’s Campesinos program has organized distributions across the state to provide food, clothing and other assistance to farmworkers, supporting tens of thousands of campesinos and their families.

As our nation marks 250 years, we're reminded that America's greatest strength has always been its people.
Through faith, family, charity, and fraternity, Knights of Columbus have served communities for more than 140 years, and we remain committed to helping build a stronger future for the generations to come.
How will you help strengthen America this year?
Across North America, local councils have launched programs to welcome and assist migrant families in their communities. “They’re here for a reason. They work hard and want to get a better life for their families,” said Financial Secretary Wayne Turner of Our Lady of the Valley Council 10889 in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. “We’re just people helping people.”

As the United States prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence this week, Supreme Chaplain Archbishop William Lori invites Americans to embrace the occasion as a moment of “grace and responsibility” in his recent column for Columbia. “Let us be builders of unity in the broader culture,” he writes, “by recognizing legitimate diversity where it exists and respecting the humanity of those with whom we disagree.”

Thousands of Canadians, including many young people and members of the Knights of Columbus, gathered in Ottawa for the National March for Life. Their witness affirms the dignity of every human life—from the unborn to the elderly and vulnerable—and proclaims that every life is sacred, valued, and worthy of protection.

Grace is not passive. As Pope Leo XIV reminds us in Magnifica Humanitas, God’s grace strengthens us to resist evil and respond to the brokenness of the world with courage, creativity and love. The Christian life is not an escape from conflict, but a call to bring Christ’s light into it.
Where do you see opportunities to respond to conflict with grace and creative goodness today?

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Order’s presence in Poland, Knights of Columbus chaplains from across the country made a pilgrimage to sacred sites in France, entrusting their ministry to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The April pilgrimage included visits to the village of Ars-sur-Formans, home of St. John Vianney, and the Chapel of the Apparitions in Paray-le-Monial, where St. Margaret Mary Alacoque received visions of the Sacred Heart 350 years ago.

“Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” — Matthew 10:39
In today’s Gospel, Jesus calls us to a radical kind of love, one that places Him above all else and is willing to sacrifice for His sake.
In letting go, we discover something greater. In giving, we receive. Even the smallest act of love, done for Christ, carries eternal value.
🙏 Lord, help us follow You with wholehearted love, embrace the crosses we are given, and trust that in You we find true life.
Today is the 100th anniversary of Martyr's Shrine, a place of international pilgrimage in Ontario and significance in the Church's history in North America. ⛪ We also acknowledge the arrival of St. Jean de Brébeuf and his companions in Huronia 400 years ago. St. Jean de Brébeuf and his companions sacrificed their lives for the faith and out of love for the Indigenous Peoples they encountered. May we find inspiration from these martyrs in our own lives - to love and serve those around us and point the world to Jesus in how we live.

Seminarians preparing for the priesthood gathered at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore for the St. John Vianney Soccer Cup, a tournament that fostered fraternity among future priests from dioceses across the Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia region.
Named for Saint John Vianney, the event began and ended with prayer before the Eucharist, uniting seminarians from diverse backgrounds in faith, fellowship, and friendly competition. As brother Knights, many also serve their communities through the charitable work of the Knights of Columbus.
In his latest column for Columbia, Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly reflects on how devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and frequent reception of the Eucharist are the keys to developing authentic fatherhood. “In revealing the Father’s love,” writes the supreme knight, “Christ is our best guide for what it means to be a father, and he shows us that being a good father begins with being a good son.”

When Jesus revealed His Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, He spoke of His great love for humanity and His sorrow that so many failed to return that love.
Devotion to the Sacred Heart is an invitation to respond, not out of fear or obligation, but with gratitude. Spend a few moments in prayer, attend Mass if you can, or simply tell Jesus that you love Him.
His Heart remains open to everyone.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, make our hearts like unto Thine.

One of the beautiful traditions connected to the Sacred Heart is the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the home.
By placing an image of the Sacred Heart in a place of honor and dedicating the family to Christ, we acknowledge that Jesus is the true King of our homes. It is a simple but powerful way to invite His peace, mercy, and guidance into everyday family life.

The Sacred Heart is wrapped in a crown of thorns because true love is willing to bear pain for the beloved.
Jesus carries the wounds caused by sin, rejection, and indifference, yet He never stops loving. The pierced and wounded Heart of Christ shows us that mercy is stronger than suffering.
In a world that often runs from sacrifice, the Sacred Heart teaches us that authentic love always gives itself away.

In Radom, Poland, the Knights of Columbus are providing hospitality and support to Ukrainian widows and their children whose husbands and fathers were killed in the ongoing war. By welcoming these families into their community, the Knights embody Christ’s call to care for the vulnerable, offering compassion, friendship, and hope to those carrying the heavy burden of loss. Through their acts of charity, they provide not only practical assistance but also a reminder that these families are not alone in their suffering.
Today we celebrate the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, forerunner of our Lord whose famous words have enriched the Church for millennia: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand", "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”, and "He must increase; I must decrease". He is also the patron saint of Québec.
St. John the Baptist, pray for us!
