The Paediatric society of Ghana just wrote the most devastating letter of this administration.
They called galamsey:
"A crime against present humanity." "A heinous crime against humanity yet unborn."
they're not activists. Not opposition politicians.
Ghana's own CHILDREN'S DOCTORS are writing to the President. On Earth Day from Korle Bu.
Mr. President, when will you respond?
Dr Ato Forson, Dr Asiama Pandit and Sammy Gyamfi set the standard themselves. They asked how anyone could sell gold and make losses, then promised Ghanaians the opposite that they will make no losses when they come to power.
The BoG Governor, during his own vetting, promised he would not preside over losses.
Now let me tell you, in just one year under dr Ato Forson & Dr Asiama, the Bank of Ghana has racked up GHs39 billion in combined losses. GHS22 billion in revaluation losses tied to gold and reserve holdings. GH¢17 billion in open market operations costs.
How is this stabilization? Saying anything just to win power
Now let’s be precise about who did what. GoldBod is the only entity buying gold in Ghana and it act as a service provider to the Central Bank. So when the numbers go bad, the Central Bank owns the loss Goldbod had caused.
The loss currently stands at GHS39 billion. Dr Ato Forson and Dr Asiama burned GHS17 billion alone on open market operations.
you cannot run an institution into a hole this deep and dress it up as stability.
So the NDC would rather spend $1B on pre construction & clearing works alone for their new expressway than use part of it to complete the remaining 30% of the 4 bypasses on the Accra-Kumasi road?
The government is unmoved by the everyday accidents on that stretch because they want to finish their manifesto promises first.
"let's finish building our 24-hour markets before we tackle Agenda 111."
How can we build sophisticated systems as a nation with this?
On Friday, 7th August 2026, I had the pleasure to deliver an address at the 14th Annual Scientific Conference of the University of Ghana Medical Laboratory Sciences Students' Association (UG-MELSSA).
I spoke on the topic "Beyond Politics: Building National Systems That Outlive Governments." It was an honest conversation about our country’s human resource and its governance architecture.
I am grateful to the student body for such an opportunity.

Keep knocking on those closed doors because they will open.
and when that breakthrough arrives, guard it with everything you've got. 🙏🏾

RE: FRAUDULENT SCHEME AT GHANA’S EMBASSY AT WASHINGTON, USA
I have become aware of a story published online in which it is alleged that I received an amount of USD$800 out of a colossal amount of USD$19 million allegedly obtained from a fraudulent scheme at Ghana’s Embassy at Washington, USA.
According to the story, this alleged fraudulent scheme was uncovered as a result of a forensic audit conducted by the Ghana Audit Service into the affairs of the Embassy covering the period 2017 to 2025.
I wish to state that I have never been involved in any scheme, the sharing of, or the receipt of any ill-obtained funds.
It is instructive to note that in the said audit report, I have not been named as a person of interest for investigation. The amount of $800 which I received in July 2021 was money which was lawfully paid to me as a child benefit package for the birth of my daughter which occurred in January 2021. To the best of my knowledge and recollection, the payment of child benefit package is a standard practice that preceded me as one will find in the same report that about 28 other staff members also received benefits for various life changing reasons.
Therefore, a one-time payment of $800 for child benefit which I did not solicit for, nor determine the amount, nor determine the payment bank account and could not have known the source of funding, cannot be used as a basis to falsely implicate me as complicit in the alleged fraudulent scheme which allegedly yielded $19 million.
Lastly, I wish to state that all payments such as compensations, allowances, benefits, and refunds, that I received during my tenure as Head of Information and Public Affairs at the Embassy between the period March 2019 and July 2021, were received bona fide by me as a worker, which payments were made in accordance with longstanding established processes. I was never involved in decisions relating to the financial management of the Embassy especially those involving the operation or closure of any bank account.
I therefore wish to encourage my family, friends, loved ones, admirers and the general public to disregard any distorted narrative which is being pushed to falsely attribute wrongdoing to me in this matter.
