Tommy Robinson shared a fake letter claiming to be from Bexley Borough Council. It told residents:

“If you have young daughters, please keep them inside where possible. If they have to go out, make sure they are dressed appropriately so as not to tempt the men in any way. Long skirts or trousers are advised, with shoulders covered.”

The fake letter claimed that, under the Government’s asylum accommodation arrangements, a number of properties would be converted to house young men seeking asylum aged between 19 and 40.

The letter was posted through some residents’ doors. Bexley Council has confirmed that it is fake and has referred the matter to the police.

Tommy Robinson deleted the post after Bexley Council issued its statement.
