Imagine your best man (or maid of honor) walks up to you on your wedding day, and at your reception party, and says as you sit reclining with your spouse....
"Do you know divorce is real and it can happen to you?"
You will probably blink several times and say
"I'm not sure it's healthy to be running around so much without having eaten since morning.
Have some food, or at least take a malt"
And that would be a good response.
Because..."Divorce?!", "Where is that coming from???"
That should be your exact reaction when a Christian goes about asking if you can lose your salvation.
Lose salvation?! Wait what?!
How are you planning to lose it?
Like our bestman, such a fellow has been running around playing church, and has not been feeding on the word.
My pastor says something is wrong with those who like to ask "boundary" questions.
"Where does the Bible say it is bad for a Christian to smoke?"
"Give me clear scriptures where the Bible says you may only kiss your husband or wife"
Such things are indicative of a dearth of fellowship.
However, let's say you wake the following morning, and your wife is sitting up in bed saying to herself out loud
"I can never lose my marriage! Oh haha! I can never lose my marriage!!"
"Whatever I do or fail to do will never change my marital status!"
You will begin to suspect that the same bug that bit your best man feasted on your wife as well....or the same jazz, heavy metal, juju or afro beat.
"Woman, what is the matter?"
"Man, I just got a revelation that we can never lose our marriage no matter what I do to you",
"Even if I wipe out your entire family, our marriage is still bae".....
You will begin to wonder if you should have taken a full premarital psychiatric history.
This is what it sounds like when we go around saying "What I do or fail to do can never affect my salvation"
People who are in proper relationship with the Savior and the word of His grace do not talk like that.
They simply cannot.
Rather they say "Now that I am saved, and as a result of my salvation, I will walk in the light where there is grace, mercy, cleansing, and an inheritance".
It is well.
🚨INSANE JADON SANCHO FACTS—Jadon Sancho enters the game for Aston Villa marking a wild stat for the 26-year-old…
Sancho has appeared in all three European competition finals in the past three seasons! 🤯
▪️2024: Started the Champions League final for Borussia Dortmund
▪️2025: Scored in the Conference League final for Chelsea
▪️2026: Comes on in the Europa League final for Aston Villa
3 years. 3 clubs. 3 finals. 😳
🗣️🇮🇹 Andrea Pirlo on the iconic photo of him alongside Fabio Cannavaro at the 2006 World Cup final in Berlin, reflecting on what that moment truly meant:
"In that moment, while we were facing a penalty in the final shootout of 2006, I remembered all the penalty shootouts we had lost in the past few years. I was terrified and couldn't find anyone to talk to, so I hugged Cannavaro and said, 'Fabio, I'm scared.'
He didn't respond. We kept watching the penalties, and I said again, 'Fabio, I'm scared.' Still, no response.
Just as I was about to say it a third time, he interrupted me and said, 'Shut up, Andrea! I'm about to lift the World Cup in a few minutes.'"
From Addo and Tanko to the next generation of Ghanaian stars! 🇬🇭✨
Borussia Dortmund is proud to announce the launch of the BVB International Academy Ghana, the club’s first International Academy on the African continent! 🇬🇭🖤💛
🚨‼️🇬🇭Once upon a time, Abedi Ayew "Pele" etched his name into history by leading Marseille to their first-and only-UEFA Champions League title 🏆
It made Marseille the first French I club to ever lift the trophy, and Abedi Pele was at the heart of it all-rightly earning his place as a club legend.
Wearing the iconic No.10 in midfield, he was a constant menace: dictating play, creating chances, and delivering crucial goals on the biggest stage.
To crown it all, Abedi Pele was the first player to win the African Player of the Year award three consecutive times— a true trailblazer of African football.
God, if you do not save me from my sins, I will destroy my life. If you do not break this stronghold of iniquity burdening my heart, the adversary will lay hold of my soul. Deliver me from myself, separate my heart from everything contrary to your glory until I want nothing else but You.
A strange precedent in the history of the competition.
Almost a week has passed since the Africa Cup of Nations final, with no official congratulations from the CAF website, nor from the FIFA website as we are accustomed.
But the most important thing is that the whole world congratulated Senegal, and history does not forget.
Last month, I traveled by road from Ghana 🇬🇭 to Benin 🇧🇯, crossing two borders. Using my ECOWAS passport/ID, I paid 4,000 CFA and 2,000 CFA at the borders to enter and exit Togo and Benin. This wasn’t my first time.
Yet with the same ECOWAS passport, I’ve crossed other visa-free African borders by road and wasn’t asked to pay anything:
• South Africa → Lesotho 🇿🇦🇱🇸 • South Africa → Eswatini 🇿🇦🇸🇿 • Uganda → Rwanda 🇺🇬🇷🇼 • Rwanda → Tanzania 🇷🇼🇹🇿 • Ghana → Burkina Faso 🇬🇭🇧🇫
Same passport. Different experiences.
This highlights how border practices across Africa are inconsistent, even where free movement is officially allowed.
Mobility exists, but implementation still needs work.
