That should be your exact reaction when a Christian goes about asking if you can lose your salvation.

Lose salvation?! Wait what?!

How are you planning to lose it?

Like our bestman, such a fellow has been running around playing church, and has not been feeding on the word.

My pastor says something is wrong with those who like to ask "boundary" questions.

"Where does the Bible say it is bad for a Christian to smoke?"

"Give me clear scriptures where the Bible says you may only kiss your husband or wife"

Such things are indicative of a dearth of fellowship.

However, let's say you wake the following morning, and your wife is sitting up in bed saying to herself out loud

"I can never lose my marriage! Oh haha! I can never lose my marriage!!"

"Whatever I do or fail to do will never change my marital status!"

You will begin to suspect that the same bug that bit your best man feasted on your wife as well....or the same jazz, heavy metal, juju or afro beat.

"Woman, what is the matter?"

"Man, I just got a revelation that we can never lose our marriage no matter what I do to you",

"Even if I wipe out your entire family, our marriage is still bae".....

You will begin to wonder if you should have taken a full premarital psychiatric history.

This is what it sounds like when we go around saying "What I do or fail to do can never affect my salvation"

People who are in proper relationship with the Savior and the word of His grace do not talk like that.

They simply cannot.

Rather they say "Now that I am saved, and as a result of my salvation, I will walk in the light where there is grace, mercy, cleansing, and an inheritance".

It is well.

Almost a week has passed since the Africa Cup of Nations final, with no official congratulations from the CAF website, nor from the FIFA website as we are accustomed.
But the most important thing is that the whole world congratulated Senegal, and history does not forget.

Last month, I traveled by road from Ghana 🇬🇭 to Benin 🇧🇯, crossing two borders.
Using my ECOWAS passport/ID, I paid 4,000 CFA and 2,000 CFA at the borders to enter and exit Togo and Benin.
This wasn’t my first time.

Yet with the same ECOWAS passport, I’ve crossed other visa-free African borders by road and wasn’t asked to pay anything:
• South Africa → Lesotho 🇿🇦🇱🇸
• South Africa → Eswatini 🇿🇦🇸🇿
• Uganda → Rwanda 🇺🇬🇷🇼
• Rwanda → Tanzania 🇷🇼🇹🇿
• Ghana → Burkina Faso 🇬🇭🇧🇫

Same passport. Different experiences.

This highlights how border practices across Africa are inconsistent, even where free movement is officially allowed.

Mobility exists, but implementation still needs work.
