@nerissa_en For Kanji, I'd say learn vocab first, then shift into learning Kanji, when you have enough vocab to use written and spoken Japanese with little trouble. Seeing the readings in action, in different words will do a lot more to help you remember them, than trying to drill them

@nerissa_en If you're looking for where to begin, I'd say learn the basics on how は,が,を,で,に,から,まで,へ,と, and も work, as particles, and try making a sentence with each, just to feel for it. After all, the best way to get better at using a language is using a language

@nerissa_en After that, learn how to form the basic tenses of the language with nouns, verbs, adjectives, and so on as you develop sentence structures for you to fill with what you need. I highly recommend learning how to use xはyがz, as this will let you get A LOT across, while you study

@nerissa_en As a teacher of Japanese, I'd say grammar and Kanji study, when you're at the beginner stage, and do pardon my lack of tact, will do diddly squat for you. Learning the basic sounds and written systems of the language first will give you a far stronger base, going forward

@KevGalaxybender @BuffGigas I think you're looking at the technical definition of MMA, vs the applied one. Dural is just a bunch of other characters stitched together to make one moves moveset. Cielo is what MMA does, in turning multiple disciplines into one coherent way of sport combat
