They approved MVR 95,000 for the Majlis President and pay rises for ministers, MPs and council members while ordinary Maldivians struggle to afford food, rent and medicine.
Thalassaemia patients still cannot get reliable iron chelation drugs. State Pharma keeps promising supplies. Patients keep waiting. This is not a shortage. It is a political choice.
While the public faces rising costs, scarce foreign currency and wages that no longer stretch, those in power keep improving their own packages. The gap is fucking grotesque.
This is not about salaries. It is about priorities. When the state funds official pay increases but cannot guarantee life-saving treatment, it is clear who matters and who does not.
Public office is meant to serve the people. Right now it serves itself. The Majlis President and every minister who supported this should explain why their comfort ranks above our survival.
The Maldives belongs to its people. Start governing like it. @MMuizzu@presidencymv
Lament’s Term; They shoot twice, b4 they bury us, to make sure we stay dead!Salute Sir for speaking the fact. Government bodies @MoEDmv@MoTmv@visitmaldives should intervene 2 protect & regulate this unjust brutality from foreign giants discrimination of Local Travel agents.
a video of a white right wing talking head getting popped in the neck traumatised you but seeing videos of palestinian children being blown up daily doesn’t even phase you says a lot
Charlie Kirk recently said to a Palestinian that there’s no such thing as Palestinians. Well now look… there’s no longer such a thing called Charlie Kirk.
I am not making unreasonable posts or comments. One of my sons is also a thalassemia major. As part of his daily treatment, like many other patients about 900 registered in Maldives , he needs to take iron chelation medicationat least two doses a day. Unfortunately, the tablets currently available are of such low dosage that he has to take 12 to 20 tablets at a time.
I believe the procurement team should be well aware of the actual requirements and appropriate dosage levels needed for these patients. The current situation reflects a serious lack of competency among those responsible I feel. What’s more concerning is that our Health Minister is also in this group, yet it seems there’s no time to properly review or address these ongoing issues before they become public concerns.
When 99% of the thalassemia community rises against you, you don’t get to stay and pretend it’s business as usual. In just 4 hours, 100 out of 101 voters said you failed them.
You are not a leader, you are a disgrace.
Shirna @7Dhath , you have humiliated yourself enough. Step down before you do even more damage. You are done. Resign now!

To the Clueless Minister @ANazim2019 , the Pathetic State Minister @7Dhath , and the Incompetent MBS Management Who Live for Nothing But a Paycheck @MBS_mv.
You all are fucking with our lives like they don’t matter. The thalassaemia community is dying, and MBS management, especially under Shirna’s complete incompetence, is doing absolutely nothing about it. While we bury our loved ones, one after the other, you all sit there, making excuse after excuse, while we are losing our lives.
We lost two patients this week alone. Two lives, gone, just like that. And what did we get from you? Nothing. Not a single step forward. We’re losing our friends. One by one. Every single day. And no one is listening. Each time we lose someone, it’s like another piece of us is ripped away. Families are being destroyed, parents are burying their children, and we’re left with nothing but grief, and yet, nothing changes. Your failure to act isn’t just neglect, it’s murder by incompetence. You all are responsible for every single life lost, every soul we’ve had to say goodbye to.
The blood is on your hands. Your complete failure to manage anything is killing us, and the damage you’ve done is beyond repair. Enough is enough. We can’t keep living like this, losing the people we love, while you all do nothing but sit in your cushy positions and pretend everything’s fine.
If you think you can keep sitting there, doing nothing, you’re dead wrong. We are done pretending this isn’t a fucking nightmare. We’re done waiting for you to get your shit together. Either step up and fix this, or get out of the way and let someone who actually gives a damn take charge. Because right now, you all are a fucking disgrace.
And if this makes you uncomfortable, good. Sit with it and suck it up. Because your failure is costing lives, and we’re done being polite about it.

Gonna be a long tweet cause I have a lot to say about this (sorry not really tho)
A few days ago we were all surprised to hear the news of a girl who was found on a ceiling of a building. No major outlets reported on what had really transpired. Then we started learning more about what happened due to social media and eyewitness account.
State media is a propaganda tool by the state. The police are a personal security force who only hold certain people accountable. I got a lot of messages regarding this because I was extremely close to one of the suspects at one point in my life. However well before this incident, we had already fallen apart and haven’t spoken for months. This is not a situation I look at lightly. I am very selective of who I choose to surround myself with.
Now let’s look at some other issues. Some people are claiming he pushed her. Others say he fell, regardless, why was she left there till the morning? How could anyone lack so much humanity?
Right now my prayers go out to the family of the girl. I think it’s important we focus on the culprits to make sure we do our duty as a society. I also think it’s important we rely on the right channels. Addressing violence with violence is never the answer. Demand accountability, be better than them and never stoop to that level.
Police should not give them special treatment. Throw them in cells too if the investigation calls for it. Due process applies to all! These are not allegations to take lightly. We’re talking about assault, rape, drug use, a life was almost lost. @PoliceMv release your statements. The public demands to know more about what the truth is!
The damage is already done. Don’t make it worse, SM Shirna @7Dhath. Your actions have caused enough harm. It’s time to step down and take responsibility before the consequences escalate any further. It’s your duty to leave for the greater good.
RESIGN NOW!
