As a recruiter for 20-odd years, this is something I hear from clients every single day and honestly, it never gets old.

Asking for more after the initial offer is unprofessional. We refuse to meet candidates who interview with other companies."

What clients miss is that they have devised and stick to the 2/3 months notice period, which allows the candidate to shop for multiple offers.

Here's a wild idea: if you want a candidate who doesn't offer-shop, pay them what they're worth. Revolutionary concept, I know.
Not limit to just 30% hike. Form what, from their previous salary!

Remember Comparison kills and offer documents are supposed to be confidential isn't it!

There are nuances to the whole transaction and its endless debate.

Now, personally? I'm just deeply relieved and grateful that the candidate was honest enough to share their stance well in advance, rather than ghosting on the day of joining.
But sure, let's villainize them.

No one is entitled. Neither employer nor candidate.
Its a free market.
We move on, learn from this, and find the next best candidate. ☮️

@khushalmundra Happening a lot lately. Many times it’s not even the actual meter fare — they randomly add return charges, night charges, airport extras, and half of it isn’t disclosed before the ride. Totally unfair and leaves passengers stuck.

Very disappointed with @airtelindia @Airtel_Presence service. Raised a WiFi installation request but can’t track it in the app. The executive is asking for advance payment, and there’s no way to reach support for clarity on the process. Really poor experience so far.
