We're in Azerbaijan today, as @COP29_AZ gets underway.

Kickstarting #Day1, IEC, @isostandards and @UL_Standards, along with eight other standards organizations, have joined forces to #MakeClimateActionHappen .

The 11 organizations have opened the event by highlighting a shared commitment to position standards at the heart of #COPoutcomes and successful #climatepolicy.

By having the vital discussions around standards at COP, we want to help climate decision makers gain a better understanding of the value of standards in delivering sustainable solutions across borders.

The Pavilion (@Blue Zone at COP29) will feature a range of collaborative workshops and panel discussions across the Convention in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11 to 22 November 2024.

We are proud to announce that joining IEC, ISO and ULSE at the Standards Pavilion, Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (@AZSTAND), World Business Council for Sustainable Development (@wbcsd), Better Cotton @BCICotton , Consolidated Mining Standard Initiative (CMSI), International Organization of Legal Metrology @OimlBiml, International Telecommunication Union (@ITU), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (@PEFC ), Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (@SMIICGS) will be furthering the discussion on effective international collaboration and cooperation for climate action.
