I truly understand the disgust and revulsion we all have about corruption and the plain brazen theft among the political elites.

But we have to be open to the knowledge that an innocent person may be convicted or even if they are not innocent, plainly so, the state still may fail to prove the elements of its case and those persons have to be acquitted and discharged. That's the basis of our constitutionalism and rule of law.

People don't have to go to jail simply because emotions have risen high and they've been convicted in the court of public opinion.

The Attorney General's Department should appeal to the Supreme Court if they believe they have a case.
