Shown in this picture by the Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) is a Thai MK-84 bomb that was dropped during the border clashes.

It weighs nearly one ton, measures around 3.5 meters, and contains more than 500 kg of explosive.

Heng Ratana, director-general of CMAC, said on July 30 that MK-84 is the largest variant in its family that includes MK-81, MK-82, and MK-83. This MK-84 variant was rarely dropped during the Indochina War.

Today 30th July 2025, CMAC experts have responded to an emergency call from affected local community to clear a bomb. This bomb as the remnants of war identified as an aerial bomb MK-84 dropped by the Thai Air Forces, MK-84 with total weights around 1.000kg and 3.5 meters long​.

Thailand has violated the ceasefire agreement by arresting 20 Cambodian soldiers (and shooting two others whose conditions remain unknown—whether dead or alive) under the pretense of inviting them to shake hands and take group photos. Thailand’s actions constitute a breach of the Kuala Lumpur ceasefire agreement and are in violation of international law, specifically the 1949 Geneva Conventions concerning the treatment of prisoners of war (POWs). Cambodia must gather evidence in order to condemn Thailand for committing war crimes.
