EX modder, I don't work on any modpacks anymore.
Used to work on UNITE 2015, Payback, Heat = UI-Lighting-Textures-QoL-Particles-Gameplay.
Mostly renders.
Back here, I'm not really do work on mods much if at all, don't ask me to make mods, I can help you figure things out IF you already have experience, not gonna handhold new people, don't got the time sorry.
Mostly will do renders from now on.
If you wonder about the distortion on exhausts, here it is; do mind that for the release (at the time Unite 3.0) I had to dial down the quality of both the actual backfire and distortions, as it'd have taken too long to fix the many issues they had.
Finding out how to make the on screen droplets look like that was really cool, I remember just trying a lot of random shit for 1 month, eventually thanks to the discovery I had there, I was able to do distortion effects for the exhaust particles too (mainly for the rivals nos)
Heat was / is unironically the most fun when it comes to big visual changes, as it's just pretty much 1 file per lighting preset, plus variations for rain and such, so big changes like this were no biggie compared to payback / 2015. Still took a long time and experimentation tho.
Latest render, it did take a while to recreate everything as close as I could, though I had fun doing this, may do the same kind of thing for other games.
I was supposed to do renders with Unite's S14 Livery, I made the "UNITE" text for unbound actually.
It fell through because we couldn't find a good way to get the livery texture out of the game, they probably can do it by now as the game is better supported.
