Mainau flower island

Mainau is an island in Lake Bodensee (located on the southern shore of Lake Überlinger See near the city of Konstanz, Konstanz district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany). It is maintained as an island garden and is a model of their appearance in a realistic ecological environment. Administratively, the island has been part of the city of Konstanz since 1 December 1971, when the commune of Litzelstetten, Mainau, which it belonged to, was merged with Konstanz.

The island belongs to Lennart Bernadotte, founded by prince Lennart, Count Bernadotte af Wisborg, formerly prince of Sweden and Duke of Småland. Mainau is one of the most popular tourist destinations at Lake Bodensee. In addition to the flower, there is also a park with a view of the lake. There is also an architectural house with a tropical climate and thousands of butterflies. Mainau Bay also has a sailing ship belonging to the University of Konstanz.
