About 24 years ago it was +5 here on Christmas Day- never since then has it been anywhere close to that warm.

@TheNLBobby @AirCanada LOL I had to put in a travel claim to Manulife for a cancelled flight to St. John’s. Manulife website wouldn’t accept St. John’s as a “valid city” -4 phone calls later (most to people that didn’t know that it was a city in Canada), I’m told to put in a diff city and fix manually

@bonestructurenl @deannefoley That isn’t the root of the problem. It is multifactorial. Many of the hospital areas aren’t hiring part-time but there are +++people willing to work part time. Dept of Med has put a freeze on hiring GFT MDs. Many in hosp for ++++months because no accessible supportive housing.

@glenesimard Terrible for inpatient care. 2 short weeks in a row and 2 long weekends in a row means days in a row without therapy, people laying in bed. Should have thought of the reality of making this a stat day at that time

@bkives There are so many young people here in Canada that want to train as nurses but it is really difficult to get in- open more spots here for training. Do not give up the quality checks in place for international trained!

@ctvwinnipeg Will work well if everyone does it right. Use both lanes, and don’t merge in until the very end - exactly like a zipper- people try to merge in too early which makes the main line too long, while the lane that is closed opens up and people zoom ahead. If all do it right it works
