I would never want to be accused of slandering the name of Benson Henderson but it’s wild to me that he’s the main event of a fairly major promotion in 2026.
Scott Coker tells New York Post Sports his new MMA promotion will be doing a single weight class World Grand Prix Tournament throughout the year. Then they will buy free agents from the top down, as well as find new talent:
'The tournament format is gonna build new stars, but also we're gonna buy free agents from the top down, just like we built Strikeforce.
Strikeforce was a league that we built from the bottom up. Which means we signed Daniel Cormier, who had no fights. Ronda Rousey. No fights. We had all these great fighters that had no fights and we built their careers, but we also bought, let's say Fedor's contract...we sprinkled in with the fighters that we wanted and that's what we're gonna do here as well.'

The Saturday on Memorial Day Weekend used to have UFC fights like:
UFC 187: Johnson/DC
UFC 146: All Heavyweight Main Card
UFC 114: Rampage/Evans
UFC 98: Evans/Machida
UFC 71: Rampage/Liddell
UFC 60: Hughes/Gracie
Now it's just Saturday.
Very cool to see Abena with his own walkout music, but I can’t help but remember when the UFC wouldn’t let Matt Brown use the song Hatebreed wrote for him.
I admittedly don’t know a ton about PFL or its roster, but Abaev/Poclit looked like it should’ve never been booked. I’m not sure I saw Poclit throw a single shot in almost 4 minutes.
