As a scientist I'm thrilled to translate more about what we know from research to help people lead healthier lives - thanks to Annie Lennon for putting this article together #multivitamins#precisionnutrition#dietaryinteractions
We’ve changed our name! The Editorial Board of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition are pleased to share that the journal has officially changed its name to the Journal of the American Nutrition Association. Explore today: https://t.co/a3GjU22I9D
As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American College Association, I'm also excited to announce our journal will be changing it's name to the Journal of the American Nutrition Association, come January 2022! @AmNuAssn@tandfmedicine

@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN If it's really too cold to go outside, there are many great, short YouTube videos for exercising in small spaces with no equipment (thanks COVID). Get some movement in while wearing pajamas, it's never been easier!
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN I bring extra layers (ear warmers, gloves, hat) and default to jogging (no fancy equipment, just shoes). I leave the house at daybreak, to prevent the temptation to loiter in the kitchen and fill up on starchy breakfast foods and avoid exercise altogether!
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN Teaming up with nutrition practitioners and registered dieticians is a great way to offer better care to your patients, and get questions answered outside of the realm of your expertise
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN Great question - data suggests physicians are hungry for more nutrition education during their training (especially with the rise of diet-influenced chronic disease), and current levels of education are inadequate https://t.co/kPEJ9iDDNM
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN I think all students and faculty can relate! I remind myself that some exercise is better than nothing (a 20 min jog is better than no minutes!) and I focus on spending time exercising with family. My mom likes to walk, so I forgo some cardio and embrace spending time with her
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN Plan activities away from food - walk the dogs, visit a local museum or zoo with a cherished family member or two (not the ones that drive you crazy), go to a movie and skip the popcorn
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN Race and ethnicity strongly influence family traditions like snacking, recently highlighted by Heitman et al., 2021 https://t.co/JP0QQTkAOg @CTaylorRD
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN Consuming nutrient dense, fiber rich snacks (think vegetable platter, whole grain crackers with a bit of cheese and ample fruit) before the big meal can help to curb intakes
@tandfmedicine@AmNuAssn@DrTaylorWallace @CSaenzPhD @KaitlynRDLDN Protein helps to keep you feeling full, and data suggests potential long-term benefits in enhancing bone mineral density https://t.co/JP0QQTkAOg
