“We can’t cuff him.” Officer Kopp and Johnson have quite the “tail” to tell about responding to a nuisance gator 104-year-old woman’s home near Atlantic Boulevard and Art Museum Drive Monday. Licensed trapper Mike Dragich was chomping at the bit to snap into action and help the grandma say “see you later, alligator.” Before your jaw drops, the trapper says the 5-foot catch of the day is alive and well in a different location. All in a day’s work.

While out patrolling, Officer Jeff Kopp swore in the next generation with a JSO Sticker Badge.
This young lady immediately determined that some siblings needed to be investigated and then wisely called for a meal break!

My Instructor made me write a letter to my wife & kids. It’s a promise I will continuously train my body & mind so I come home each night. So, this is why I am always the Nail not the Hammer. I train in order to break myself down and learn. Comfort is the enemy.
Today, #JSO Sheriff Waters held a briefing pertaining to a successful investigation that stopped a crime spree and potential escalating violence.
This investigation ultimately resulted in the arrest of Jarvae Hines on May 16, 2023, following multiple robberies. Hines is no stranger to criminal activity having previously served 7 years in Florida State Prison in reference to a carjacking case.
#CommunityFocused
I left @Twitter for a while when I became a police officer.
BUT, I had to come back to share the good.
95% of the people I interact with are thankful we show up. Every call I get is someone’s worst day. We de-escalation & bring peace to those people. Don’t let the 5% fool you.
Please join us in welcoming these 20 new Police Officers to the JSO family. These men and women, were sworn in Tuesday by Sheriff T.K. Waters. A step towards a safer community with selfless acts of service.

I have decided to transition to the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office to continue serving the people of the city I love. The mission field is everywhere & ministry opportunities are plentiful.
Without stretching & discomfort there is no growth.
When people run away from difficult circumstances who runs towards them? In my experience, it’s Pastors & First responders.
@SC_Herd@MarcKulkin@Kopper57 carried on 35 ILB tradition after Ross. Need to get back to that. Nice history of 35 Lbs at USC too. Riki Gray(Ellison) too.
