I was crazy busy at work today but wanted to say a few words about this before the day ended. I don't normally write shit like this but this one hit hard.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer just by name alone should have been a 1 season corny 90's teen soap joke. But it ended up being a beloved show that took it's audience serious and created a lifelong fandom.

A huge part of that was because Anthony Head's Rupert Giles, a strong, caring, smart, father figure to a whole generation of young people. He was strong, caring, smart, and talented, and that's something we don't get a lot of today in modern day male characters.

Amber tried to sell domestic abuse fairy tales until the evidence laughed her out of court.
Blake's busy rewriting Hollywood drama as her personal harassment epic, while the receipts pile up contradicting her fairytale.

Truly inspiring. They've elevated "it's not me, it's the world" from a coping mechanism to a lifestyle brand, and somehow, still zero accountability.

@tincanmans Thing is that cinema ticket became more expensive than just the inflation. So to make it fair we would need the number of people going to see each film rather than the money they make. Also don't compare one of (yeah I know Blade, XMen) first SH films to one of the last ones...
