@zhil_arf All the “planes were flying easier to make then” people are missing the point. We didn’t make the best planes or tanks in WW2 but we made far more than anyone else could. US no longer has that manufacturing advantage and it should be a concern if we ever go to war with China.

@Becare4ok @Tesla @Tesla_AI @elonmusk I had a similar incident with my 2025 Model 3 where it failed to recognize a lane closed gate on the highway, also lane closure cones/signs. It’s not reliable yet for temporary lane closures.

Drove from Washington state to Texas in two days with my @Tesla @cybertruck and this is quite possibly the best road trip car ever made.

Driving through the Washington where wild fires are still going on we could smell and see the smoke. I turned on biodefense mode and got clean HEPA filtered air in the truck.

Full self driving is a game changer. Driving long distance has never been so easy. Stress and fatigue from long drives is greatly reduced and I can drive more hours in a day.

Anyone who ever said I won’t buy an EV because I need my car for long trips must have never owned a Tesla in the last year. The Tesla charging network is so vast, I never had a problem finding a charger, more so the opposite problem of which one I should choose. The Tesla trip planner gave the most efficient stops and how long to charge at each stop to stay within the most efficient charging speeds. This was a huge advantage that I didn’t have with my Hyundai Ioniq 5. Stops for charging were the stops I would have stopped for food/restroom breaks and negated most of the added time spent charging.

Grok voice AI. It was like having my own personal travel guide/assistant during the trip. Ara guided me on which chargers are fastest V2 or V4, which one has restrooms and what restaurants are nearby. I didn’t book any hotels before the trip, but Ara gave recommendations and information on which ones to choose based on my destination and preferences.

Things that can improved, FSD and temporary road construction signs. I noticed it was too slow to catch some construction sign which caused a close call with a temporary lane closure.

@sfreeman166 @thecyberfam Welp found this to be true the hard way. The outlets in the windshield wiper were clogged from using the orange stuff. Had to poke em with a needle to get them clear again.

After seeeing news of the Cybertruck price increase today I checked CarGurus for what used ones are going for. Zero for sale within 500 miles. The ones I could find outside of that were pretty much the price new before the increase.

I’ve owned my CT for about a year now, Model 3 for 18 months. Both bought with the $7500 tax credit applied. I checked comps on the used market and compared them to the price I bought new and it’s pretty much dead at or above what my price was new. Meaning my Teslas have depreciated $0 from when I bought them new.

I had this same thought when TSLA IPOd, I would have been a millionaire by now. Don’t do the entire $40k, but put your entire ROTH IRA $7,500 contribution towards Space X and just ignore it til you retire. If it pops off like TSLA did then you’re looking at millions tax free in retirement.

Love Sophie Cunningham but her making those comments right before the Seattle and Portland games seems a bit manufactured. Says something that will rile up controversy when the two most liberal cities are coming up on your schedule thus getting more attention/exposure.

I have to give the WA governor and other leaders credit. Compared to the pissing match Gavin got into with Trump when LA was on fire and blaming global warming, WA leaders are putting politics aside and working with the federal government to get help to their people.

@jasonrantz I saw these in Vegas where they are limited to just the strip. Would be pretty smart if we had a similar setup where a fleet of these are at every light rail station and they service a 1.5- mile radius of the station.

@TX_MattDaddy @EZebroni Really depends what car you put on Turo. Anything over $45k falls into deluxe class and these type of guests are rare because they are priced out. Even if you do get someone like this, just submit the claim to Turo and they handle it and get you paid.
