The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (@EBRD) remains one of Naftogaz Group’s key strategic partners. Today, a working meeting was held with Arvid Tuerkner, EBRD Managing Director for Ukraine and Moldova.
The discussion focused on preparations for the coming heating season, financing needs for gas purchases, and the repair of damaged equipment, along with current and new joint projects.
I also informed him about the agreement reached with the ad hoc group of creditors on the restructuring of Eurobonds with a total value of €1.2 billion. This is an important step toward strengthening the Group’s financial resilience amid the war and constant attacks on energy infrastructure.
I am grateful to Arvid and the entire EBRD team for their consistent support for Ukraine and Ukrainians.

A productive and constructive meeting took place with Inês Rocha, @IFC_org Director for Europe.
The discussion focused on the current situation amid ongoing russian attacks on oil and gas infrastructure, preparations for the upcoming heating season, and Naftogaz Group’s financial resilience.
Cooperation with IFC is evolving into a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening energy security and supporting sustainable development.
The practical results of this work will be announced officially in the near future.
I thank the IFC team for the substantive dialogue.
Step by step.
The Naftogaz Group has reached an agreement in principle on the restructuring of a total of €1.2 billion in Eurobonds.
We have agreed in principle with an ad hoc group of noteholders to extend the maturity dates of the Eurobonds to 2032–2033.
This is a very important achievement for the Group’s financial stability amid the war and ongoing attacks on oil and gas infrastructure.
In 2025 alone, the Russians carried out 229 strikes on Naftogaz facilities — more than in the previous three years of the full-scale war combined. Since the start of 2026, the enemy has already attacked our facilities more than 170 times.
We have been forced to offset the loss of our own gas production through imports.
Naturally, all of this affects our financial and economic performance.
Despite these challenges, we have maintained operational stability and continue to fulfil our obligations to the state and consumers.
The successful completion of the restructuring will give us greater flexibility to direct resources toward restoring infrastructure and preparing for the heating season.
I would like to thank the ad hoc committee for its constructive dialogue and decision.
Together with members of the Ukrainian parliament, a meeting was held with a Norwegian parliamentary delegation led by Mani Hussaini, Chair of the Standing Committee on Energy and the Environment.
For @NaftogazUkraine, Norway remains a key partner, providing grant financing for gas purchases and support for the restoration of damaged infrastructure.
During the meeting, partners were briefed on the consequences of Russia’s large-scale attacks on Naftogaz facilities. The intensity of these attacks continues to increase.
The discussion also focused on further cooperation with Norwegian companies and institutions. This includes both ongoing projects in the power generation sphere and infrastructure modernization, as well as promising areas of partnership in gas production, new technologies, and the development of ESG practices.
Norway’s support extends far beyond financial assistance. It is a partnership built on trust, a shared vision of energy security, and a commitment to long-term solutions.
Sincere gratitude goes to the Parliament of Norway, the Government of Norway, and the Norwegian people for their consistent support of Ukraine.
russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on one of @NaftogazUkraine key facilities in the Kharkiv region.
During a massive night-time attack, the enemy launched a combined strike. Initially, the facility was hit by drones. About an hour later, the enemy launched a second strike — this time with missiles.
This is a deliberate tactic of terror. This is how russian forces are attempting to inflict maximum damage not only on infrastructure, but also on the people who are rescuing, repairing and rebuilding. It was precisely this tactic that led to the tragic events on the night of 5 May, when our colleagues and State Emergency Service rescuers lost their lives.
Adjusting to these realities, we have introduced stricter safety protocols to minimise the threat to our staff.
I'm grateful to my colleagues for ensuring that the lessons were learnt, and that this time there were no casualties.
Impact assessment and the restoration work will start as soon as the security situation allows.
As part of the visit of a Ukrainian government delegation headed by Prime @Svyrydenko_Y to Lithuania, agreements were finalized securing long-term LNG import capacity for Ukraine through the Klaipėda LNG terminal.
Earlier this year, @NaftogazUkraine imported LNG from the United States to Ukraine via this route for the first time. Together with partners, work is now underway to make this corridor an important element of diversifying gas supply sources and strengthening Ukraine’s energy security.
Sincere gratitude to Lithuania’s Minister of @MinEnergyLT Žygimantas Vaičiūnas for his significant contribution to these agreements and his strong advocacy for European support for Ukraine’s energy resilience.
During a meeting with Lithuanian Prime Minister @IRuginiene, discussions focused on deepening cooperation and the prospects for utilizing available capacity in Ukraine’s gas transmission infrastructure for the benefit of the European Union.
The Ukrainian delegation also met with President of Lithuania @GitanasNauseda. One of the key topics was cooperation in the field of energy security and further strengthening mutually beneficial bilateral partnership.
A separate substantive meeting was held with representatives of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania at the parliament building.
Lithuania is one of the world’s leading supporters of Ukraine in terms of assistance provided as a share of GDP. This support and partnership are deeply valued and remains exceptionally important for Ukraine.

russia has attacked Naftogaz Group oil and gas infrastructure in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. There were multiple direct hits. Several facilities came under drone attack simultaneously.
This latest attack lasted virtually all day. One facility in the Sumy region was struck a second time just a few hours after the initial attack.
Damage has been recorded and fires broke out at the impact sites.
In recent weeks, attacks on Naftogaz Group facilities have become systematic — almost daily. Critical infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Dnipropetrovsk regions have come under attack from russian drones.
A meeting was held with Luboš Veselý, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, and representatives of Czech company MND.
The focus of the meeting was on strengthening cooperation and potential investment projects, including joint initiatives in hydrocarbon production.
A detailed overview was provided of the consequences of systematic russian attacks on Naftogaz Group oil and gas infrastructure. The participation of Czech companies in supplying equipment for recovery efforts was also discussed.
Special thanks to the Government of the Czech Republic @CzechMFA and MND for their practical support during the most difficult winter in Ukraine’s history.
For more than 24 hours, a massive attack has been ongoing against Naftogaz Group oil and gas facilities in the Kharkiv Oblast and Poltava Oblast regions.
A number of critically important facilities came under attack simultaneously. There has been serious destruction of equipment. Large-scale fires have broken out.
Personnel have been evacuated. It is currently impossible to assess the consequences of the attacks due to the danger of repeat strikes.
Additional information will be provided as soon as it is available.
Throughout the week, the Supervisory Board worked in Ukraine in its full composition — meetings, visits to production assets, discussions with company teams, and meetings with energy companies, embassies, and international partners. It was a deep dive into the issues that are critically important for Naftogaz Group today.
At the Audit Committee meeting, discussions focused on financial modelling under different scenarios, liquidity and the loan portfolio, gas balance, and debt, as well as the development of IT systems and the digitalization of the Group’s companies. Particular attention was paid to expanding the resource base necessary to increase production.
An important focus was also placed on veteran support and cooperation with trade unions.
At the Strategic Committee meeting, a substantive discussion was held on the future development of the Group. Today, the war forces rapid responses to current challenges, but at the same time, it is important to maintain a strategic horizon and continue working on future partnerships and development opportunities.
A separate block of discussions was dedicated to the protection of critical infrastructure.
A substantive meeting was also organized with representatives of embassies, international partners, and Ukrainian energy companies.
Special thanks to members of the Supervisory Board for the professional discussion, systematic approach, and support.
Today, Ukraine’s vyshyvanka embroidery is no longer only about tradition.
It is about our identity. About what unites Ukrainians regardless of city, country, or circumstances.
Today, people around the world wear the vyshyvanka as a reminder of who we are and where we come from.
Special thanks to the Naftogaz Group team that joined today’s Vyshyvanka Day holiday. It is important that even in the rhythm of everyday work, there is room for such simple yet meaningful things.
Happy Vyshyvanka Day!
The President of Ukraine was briefed on actions being taken to enforce the recovery of a USD 1.4 billion arbitration award from russia’s Gazprom.
Legal proceedings are ongoing in dozens of jurisdictions. This work is being strengthened and scaled up.
Report by Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi. I am grateful for the professional and prompt work aimed at holding Russia financially accountable for everything it is doing against Ukraine and our Ukrainian companies. We are fighting in all jurisdictions and using all necessary legal tools.
There is now a positive ruling in the court system of Kazakhstan – a decision for $1.4 billion. This is a first-instance ruling; further work is still required, but the direction is right. Legal proceedings are also ongoing in other countries to ensure fair compensation for Ukrainian assets stolen or destroyed by Russia in our Crimea. In ten jurisdictions already, there are concrete results in freezing and seizing Russian assets, and we are scaling up the legal work.
Separately, we discussed with Sergii our ongoing cooperation with neighboring EU countries to strengthen our energy resilience. It is important that the principle of reciprocity in relations is genuinely upheld. Thank you!
A meeting was held in Kyiv with Christian Bruch, President and CEO of @Siemens_Energy.
The discussion focused on current joint projects and the further development of cooperation between Siemens Energy and @NaftogazUkraine.
One of the priorities for Naftogaz Group remains the restoration of damaged infrastructure, the replacement of equipment, and the strengthening of facility protection amid constant russian attacks. Financing needs and opportunities to accelerate the implementation of certain initiatives were also discussed separately.
Today, a broad range of joint projects is already being implemented between Naftogaz Group and Siemens Energy — from the supply of equipment to modern technological solutions for Naftogaz Group’s enterprises.
This cooperation is not only about business. It is an example of how corporate cooperation, government support, and international donor assistance can work together to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience.
Thanks to the support of the governments of Germany, Sweden, and Norway, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, @UNDP, and @Swedfund, Naftogaz Group has received important equipment and financing for construction and installation works, as well as support in the preparation of technical documentation and solutions necessary for the further modernization of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Special thanks to Siemens Energy for its support and cooperation even under the current extraordinarily difficult conditions.
A Kazakhstan court has allowed the enforcement of a $1.4 billion international arbitration award against Gazprom in favor of @NaftogazUkraine.
This is the first public foreign court decision allowing enforcement of this arbitration award in a separate jurisdiction.
We continue our systematic work to recover compensation from the russian gas monopoly in accordance with the international arbitration award.
I thank Naftogaz’s legal team for their professional and persistent work.
Step by step.
Another massive russian attack on Naftogaz Group oil and gas infrastructure facilities. The enemy is actively using ballistic missiles.
Drone attacks have been continuing almost uninterrupted since yesterday and just now the Group’s assets in the Dnipropetrovsk region were struck by three ballistic missiles.
There is extensive damage. It will only be possible to assess the scale of the damage after the air raid alert is over.
Last week, Naftogaz Group infrastructure in the Poltava region also came under a massive ballistic missile attack.
Most importantly, at present, personnel at the attacked facilities have not been injured.
Today, russians once again attacked @NaftogazUkraine infrastructure across several regions simultaneously.
In the Kharkiv region, an enemy UAV damaged one of the company’s gas production assets.
A production facility in the Zhytomyr region also came under attack. The strike caused a fire to break out.
Fortunately, there were no casualties — that is the most important thing.
The safety of our people remains our top priority. As soon as the security situation allows, we will begin assessing the consequences and carrying out the necessary work to restore the damaged infrastructure as quickly as possible.
Today at 10:45am, russian forces attacked a special purpose vehicle of Naftogaz Group gas workers (Donetskoblgaz) in the Donetsk region with an FPV drone.
The gas service vehicle was heading to a call to restore infrastructure damaged as a result of previous shelling and to return gas supply to consumers in the frontline city of Druzhkivka.
Fortunately, our colleagues managed to evacuate in time and were not injured. The vehicle was completely destroyed.
All day was spent working with colleagues at the sites that were struck by russian ballistic missiles overnight, killing three Naftogaz colleagues: Oleksandr Kozin, Yuriy Musienko, and Mykhailo Dub, as well as two State Emergency Service rescuers. Thirty-seven injured are in hospital, where they are receiving all necessary assistance.
Not long ago, Oleksandr Kozin was awarded the Order of Merit, Third Class, by the President of Ukraine for his courage in responding to previous russian attacks on gas production facilities.
The enemy carried out this ballistic missile strike, including with a cluster warhead, after the air raid alert had been lifted, when our colleagues, together with rescuers, had begun eliminating the consequences of the previous drone attack.
This is a direct war crime — a deliberate and targeted strike specifically against gas workers and rescuers who were trying to prevent a large-scale accident.
Sincere condolences to the families of the fallen colleagues and State Emergency Service rescuers.
Another massive russian attack.
During the night of 4–5 May, the russians launched a massive attack on Naftogaz Group facilities.
Gas production facilities in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions came under fire. We have sustained significant damage and production losses. This was a combined strike involving UAVs and ballistic missiles.
The most painful is that we have casualties among our colleagues. Three Naftogaz Group employees and two State Emergency Service rescuers were killed, with 37 more people wounded.
My sincere condolences go to the families and loved ones of those who have died. The injured are receiving all necessary medical care.
As soon as the security situation allows, we will start the impact assessment and the restoration.
