Someone posted how Smosh said a slur in video (the “slur”=lesbos, not actually a slur) and it’s split the community cuz most people know it’s not a slur (could be offensive, but not a slur) but there are a few who still pushing that narrative

Sure the word can be *personally* offensive to you but it’s definitely not a slur, which others have tried to push for as well. Same as “pans”, black, latino/a/x, KKKaren, lagabata, etc

I don’t police people’s feeling so I won’t knock people who are offended by it but labeling it a slur is overboard

@giarratonic There’s a bunch of slurs/derogatory terms I can think of that absolutely warrant this kind of reaction but this….this is not one of them. Queer is more derogatory/slurry than “lesbos”. Also asked my wife, who is lesbos, and she said “stop talking to angsty teens on Twitter”
