The Electric Reliability Council of Texas known as (ERCOT), the main electric grid operator in Texas, has just declared a Level 2 Energy Emergency. They are urgently warning customers to limit power usage due to tight conditions, as Texas officials warns that rolling blackouts may be needed. This marks Texas' first power emergency since the deadly winter storm that struck in 2021.
