Today marks 11 years since 12 were killed in the shootings at the Washington Navy Yard. In this time of continued and retraumatizing gun violence, remember today – and every day -- those who died, and their families, loved ones and colleagues.

As a Hokie, sending love and support to all connected to the @uva community. Regardless of where you were on campus, take time to reach out to friends, fellow professors students and family. Healing has just begun. This will take time, many of us will always be here to support.
